Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Maintenance Controller position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Orlando, FL for a long-term contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
Schedule Details:
Work Schedule and Training: (100% Onsite)
Initial Training: Begins with a standard 8-hour, 5-day schedule.
Secondary Training Phase: Transitions to 10-hour shifts
Final Rotation (after approximately 3 months): Moves to a 12-hour rotating 4/3-3/4 schedule upon full training completion.
Shift Rotation: Requires flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts every 8-10 weeks.
Maintenance Controller Summary:
The Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) Controller manages daily aircraft maintenance planning, scheduling, and support activities for IFEC system equipped aircraft globally. Coordinates with Maintenance teams to ensure aircraft IFEC maintenance issues are resolved. When supporting IFEC system installation, modification or reactivation at an MRO, the Controller is responsible for communicating with a customer representative to ensure the quality of workmanship meets standards. This role is part of a team which operates shift cycles providing 24/7/365 coverage.
Maintenance Controller Responsibilities:
Implement processes for controlling aircraft maintenance records and follow-on communications with the customer's maintenance departments
Implement daily communications processes with internal and external customers, to include accurate aircraft maintenance status, delays in services, and other maintenance issues
Coordinate with other departments when necessary to resolve IFEC system discrepancies
Review and validate technical data instructions for accuracy
Interprets and understands warranty issues and claims pertaining to workmanship and quality
Performs system operational checks and troubleshooting in support of IFEC systems
Ensures customer logbook discrepancies pertaining to IFEC Systems are resolved in a timely manner
Will provide Customers support to carry out and uphold their Company policies and procedures when not in conflict with company policy
Liaisons with the customer and/or their provider for all technical requirements of the IFEC systems.
Provides concise daily written and verbal updates as to the status of the modification and issues pertaining to the inspection/installation
Documents maintenance performed utilizing established procedures and submit a report to his/her Team Leader.
Ability to work unsupervised to meet goals and expectations
Must work closely and respectfully with internal and external customer
Plans and carries out work assignments and address issues in accordance with RSQM/GMM and company policy and procedures as well as applicable Customer instructions, policies, training, or accepted practices in the occupation
Consults with Team leader on unique situations which do not have clear precedents
Maintenance Controller Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma equivalent required
Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe Certificate or equivalent required or in the process of acquiring certificates with proof within 18 months
Five (5) or more years of aviation maintenance industry experience or at least two (2) years of IFEC experience.
Ability to interpret and comprehend structural and electrical drawings
Boeing 737 and 757 series A/C, Embraer 'E' series A/C and Airbus A320 family knowledge preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Knowledge of Part 21, 121 and 145 Federal Aviation Regulations
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong analytical abilities and negotiation skills
Solid interpersonal skills with a results-oriented focus
Ability to work in a team environment; guide and attend to the needs of the support team
The ability to work with and in close proximity of fellow team members
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Must pass a 7-year background check and drug test, and be able to obtain an airport security badge
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meet client's eligibility insurance standards
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Passport
Must be willing and able to travel on a regular basis both domestically and internationally without impedance
Preferred:
Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Powerplant Certificate preferred or in the process of acquiring certificates with proof within 18 months
Associates degree in Maintenance Management preferred
