Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Maintenance Associate to support our distribution center located in Greenfield, IN. As a Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and assisting with equipment changeovers to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, work well in a team environment, and be willing to learn new equipment and processes. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

• Monday through Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Starting pay - $24.00 per hour

Job Details

What to expect as a Maintenance Associate:

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on packaging equipment, including:

• Case erectors

• Labeling machines

• Tape sealers

• Other automated packaging equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and work to minimize operational downtime.

• Perform box and case size changeovers on automated equipment to support production requirements.

• Respond quickly to requests from operations teams for equipment adjustments, changeovers, or troubleshooting assistance.

• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and team members to maintain workflow and productivity.

• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and report findings.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center experience preferred.
• Experience performing equipment changeovers and machine setup adjustments.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with automated packaging equipment.
• Ability to learn maintenance procedures for case erectors, labeling machines, tape sealers, and related equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to production needs.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, climbing, and reaching.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field.
