Maintenance Assistant - Senior Living

At Inspired Living, our Plant Operations team helps create a community that is safe, comfortable, welcoming, and ready for everything the day brings. We're looking for a dependable Maintenance Assistant who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and keeping things running smoothly.Sounds like you, this could be your perfect opportunity!We are currently hiring for our Inspired Living at Kenner community! What You'll DoPerform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the community, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, kitchen equipment, fire/sprinkler systems, and emergency equipment.Respond to resident maintenance requests and help keep apartments comfortable, safe, and in great condition.Complete repairs and general maintenance projects, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and equipment repairs.Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, painting, cleaning, and other needed updates.Maintain common areas, walls, doors, floors, woodwork, and other interior and exterior spaces.Identify maintenance and safety concerns and take appropriate steps to address them.Work with inspectors, fire officials, vendors, and other regulatory agencies as needed.Follow applicable building codes, safety requirements, OSHA standards, and company policies.Properly handle and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and use appropriate precautions when working with chemicals or potentially hazardous materials.Respond to community emergencies and assist with repairs and emergency needs.Communicate clearly with leadership, residents, vendors, and team members.Take pride in keeping our community safe, functional, and looking its best!What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent.1–3 years of related maintenance experience and/or training.Working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.Experience with building equipment and codes; healthcare or senior living experience is a plus.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to communicate professionally in person and over the phone.Dependable, hands-on, safety-minded, and willing to jump in when something needs fixing.A positive attitude and a "let's figure it out" mindset!Why Inspired Living?Our residents deserve a place that feels safe, comfortable, and like home-and our Maintenance team plays a huge part in making that happen.Join a fun-loving, people-focused team where your skills are appreciated, your work matters, and every day brings something new to fix, improve, or make better.Benefits include:Medical, Dental & VisionPaid Time Off401(k) Retirement PlanLife InsuranceAssociate Wellness ProgramIf you're someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping things running, and helping others, we'd love to have you on our team!
