Maintenance Assistant | $18 | St. Augustine, FL
THE JOB: As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and caring home for our residents. With your kindness, attention to detail, and dependable teamwork, you'll make a difference from the moment your shift begins. Working closely with the team at Ashton on the Greens, you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional care and experience that defines our community.
THE STARTING RATE: $18 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
- Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
- Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment issues.
- Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
- Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or guest service is preferred, but not required
- Required license/certification, if applicable
- A caring attitude and reliable attendance
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
- Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
- Must be 18 years of age or older
