    Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM


    We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant within our long-term care and rehabilitation facility specializing in geriatric care. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

    Qualifications

    • Previous maintenance experience required; healthcare maintenance experience preferred but not required
    • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
    • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be dependable and maintain excellent attendance
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed
    • Must successfully complete required background checks and drug screening


    Essential Job Functions

    • Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the facility
    • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
    • Assist with painting, repairs, and upkeep of resident rooms and common areas
    • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repairs
    • Ensure the facility grounds and building remain safe, clean, and well-maintained
    • Assist with equipment inspections and maintenance schedules
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
    • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address after-hours maintenance needs
    • Follow all facility safety policies and procedures
