Maintenance Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily maintenance operations for stamping and weld assembly departments.
• Lead and develop maintenance supervisors, technicians, and skilled trades personnel.
• Drive equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support troubleshooting of critical production equipment and downtime events.
• Assist with staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and spare parts management.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to achieve performance goals.
• Promote safety, accountability, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics, and automation systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.

Preferred Technical Experience

In one or both of the following areas:

Stamping Operations

• Mechanical and servo press systems
• Pneumatic, vacuum, and hydraulic systems
• Servo drives and VFDs
• Mitsubishi PLCs
• Press automation and transfer systems

Weld Assembly Operations

• Industrial robotics (FANUC, Nachi, Motoman, etc.)
• Resistance spot welding systems
• Omron PLCs
• Automated assembly equipment
• Electrical controls, HMIs, and integrated automation systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements.
• Experience with capital projects, technician development, and maintenance budgeting.
