Base salary starts at $20.94/hr.
E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S
- Takes initiative to correct items, conditions, or repairs before they are reported to the Engineering department.
- Implements all security policies and procedures.
- Acts as the secondary contact for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs).
- Assists in maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies.
- Assists with minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs under supervision.
- Assists with departmental and employee moves.
- Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.
- Replaces Fire Alarm devices.
- Takes the Fire Panel off line.
- Completes and assists with projects as assigned.
- Understands which duties and work needs pre-approval and communicates this information to other staff and departments as necessary.
- Completes scheduled preventative maintenance on work orders that are issued.
- Other duties as assigned.
E D U C A T I O N
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
E X P E R I E N C E
- At least two (2) years’ maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn required.
C R E D E N T I A L S
- Must certify in a de-escalation program as approved by IMH within six months of hire or transfer, and re-certify yearly to maintain certification throughout employment with IMH.
- Must have a current, valid, driver’s license and be eligible for IMH liability insurance.

- General maintenance skills.
- Ability to use a computer, calculator, electrical equipment and work tools of various trades.
