    GateWay at River City is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll help keep our community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly by completing repairs, responding to work orders, and supporting the overall upkeep of our building.     What You'll Be Doing

    • Complete general maintenance tasks throughout the community
    • Repair and replace drywall, paint, cabinetry, lighting, fixtures, and flooring
    • Perform basic plumbing maintenance for sinks, toilets, and showers
    • Move and assemble furniture as needed
    • Complete work orders and keep accurate records of repairs
    • Provide transportation for residents using the community van
    • Offer back-up support for Housekeeping when needed
    • Deliver friendly, respectful customer service to residents, families, and team members

    What We're Looking For

    • A high school diploma or GED
    • One (1) or more years of maintenance experience; healthcare or multi-unit experience is a plus
    • A valid driver's license in good standing with a strong driving record
    • Working knowledge of basic maintenance functions, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English
    • Comfort managing multiple tasks in a busy environment
    • Strong customer service skills and comfort working with seniors
    • Basic computer skills
