Midsouth Steel, a leader in the erection and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant. Assisting Lead Maintenance Tech with all of his duties including: Troubleshooting machinery.

Midsouth Steel, a leader in the erection and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant.  This is a full-time, direct hire position offering great benefits and opportunity for advancement.Hours M-F 7a-3:30pLocation: ON SITEJob duties will entail. Assisting Lead Maintenance Tech with all of his duties including:

• Troubleshooting machinery.
• Low Voltage electrical work.
• Holding ladders.
• Carrying materials.
• Learning from Lead Tech on the job.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Good computer skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of safety fundamentals.
