Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated custodian to join our team. The custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
- Maintain floor care through mopping, buffing, and polishing
- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed
- Assist with custodial duties including porter services and commercial cleaning
- Support facilities by making general repairs and reporting building issues
- Spot painting and stripping and waxing floors, etc.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in custodial or related roles
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and procedures
- Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment such as performing stripping and waxing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
