Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in a related field; equivalent industry experience may be substituted for education.
Minimum 5 years of experience supervising maintenance activities in a heavy industrial, petrochemical, refining, chemical processing, LNG, power generation, or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience managing the maintenance and repair of:
Pipe fabrication systems
Furnaces
Heat exchangers
Filters
Reactors
Extruders
Compressors
Boilers
Thorough understanding of industrial mechanical maintenance practices and craft disciplines.
Proven leadership abilities with experience directing multi-craft workforces.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen, background check, and Motor Vehicle Report review.
Ability to travel to regional offices and industrial project sites as needed.

Physical Demands
Employees are required to communicate in person, by telephone, email, video conferencing, and software applications. This position is based primarily at an operating industrial facility and requires mobility throughout the site, including elevated work areas.

Work Environment
This position operates within office, warehouse, maintenance shop, and active industrial process environments. Employees will be exposed to moderate to high noise levels and will routinely work around operating equipment, vehicles, tools, machinery, and industrial processes.

Zachry Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent to lead and oversee industrial maintenance activities at the CPC Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience managing maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and client relationships within a heavy industrial or petrochemical environment.
Candidates must have strong mechanical maintenance experience involving equipment such as pipe fabrication systems, furnaces, heat exchangers, filters, reactors, extruders, compressors, and boilers. This position requires exceptional leadership, planning, budgeting, safety, and execution skills to ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
