Mainframe Production Analyst

Hands-on experience monitoring and controlling batch jobs using Control-M or a comparable enterprise job scheduling tool. Monitor and schedule Mainframe batch job processing using Control-M, ensuring successful completion and timely resolution of job failures.

Currently we are searching for a Mainframe Production Support Analyst to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.




This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position that sits onsite multiple days per week in Birmingham, AL.




Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Monitor and schedule Mainframe batch job processing using Control-M, ensuring successful completion and timely resolution of job failures
• Maintain and support databases that drive job scheduling, report distribution, and system automation
• Analyze, complete, and delegate special projects as assigned by production support leadership
• Maintain, test, and support execution of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plans
• Troubleshoot production issues in a mainframe environment, escalating and documenting as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support batch processing schedules and system reliability

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in mainframe production support
• Hands-on experience monitoring and controlling batch jobs using Control-M or a comparable enterprise job scheduling tool
• Senior-level professional with a strong background in production control environments
• Experience with JCL required; COBOL experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently on production issues and support on-call/rotation needs as required
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills within a mainframe/legacy systems environment
