Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization Analyst / Conversion SME to support a Mainframe-to-Java modernization program. The candidate will be responsible for mainframe application discovery, code inventory, dependency analysis, repository management, vendor coordination, and migration support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform discovery and analysis of mainframe applications targeted for Java conversion.
• Identify and document application components, dependencies, interfaces, and integration points.
• Analyze and inventory:
  • COBOL programs
  • JCL jobs
  • DB2 objects
  • VSAM files
  • IMS DB components
  • DFSORT utilities
  • Assembler programs
  • Telon-generated code
• Identify missing source components, dependencies, and migration gaps.
• Extract and manage source code from Endevor and other repository tools.
• Share application source code and migration artifacts with conversion vendors through Git repositories.
• Prepare seed files, test data, and supporting artifacts for vendor conversion/testing activities.
• Support vendor queries during conversion and testing phases.
• Perform monthly codebase refreshes and synchronize mainframe changes with vendor repositories.
