Job Summary
We are seeking a Mainframe Lead with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies and experience leading modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive Mainframe-to-Java migration projects, provide technical leadership, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of modernization programs.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Mainframe to Java migration engagements.
• Act as the primary technical lead and point of contact for the project.
• Analyze existing IBM Mainframe applications and define migration strategies.
• Provide technical guidance throughout planning, design, migration, testing, and deployment phases.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to manage deliverables and dependencies.
• Resolve technical challenges and drive project execution to ensure timely delivery.
• Support modernization efforts by integrating legacy systems with distributed platforms and APIs.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure smooth transition from Mainframe to modern architectures.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
• Hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Good understanding of Mainframe architecture, batch processing, and transaction systems.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices concepts.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Java.
• Basic knowledge of Kotlin.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently and manage stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Mainframe Modernization or Mainframe-to-Java Migration projects.
• Prior experience leading technical teams or large migration engagements.
• Understanding of legacy modernization strategies and integration patterns.
• Exposure to vendor coordination and offshore/onshore team collaboration.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
