Location:  Baker County, Florida
Deployment: 5 Weeks Onsite | 1 Week Off | 12-hour shift 0600-1800

We are staffing a secure detention facility in North Florida. We’re looking for a Mailroom Managerwho is ready to deploy and operate in a structured, high-security environment.

Mail Room Project Manager oversees all aspects of mail operations within a correctional facility. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and facility-specific regulations regarding inmate mail while managing staff, security protocols, and operational efficiency. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between facility leadership, outside agencies, and internal mail room staff.

Your Mission

·         Develop, implement, and oversee mail room policies and procedures in compliance with correctional regulations.

·         Supervise mail room staff including Assistant Project Managers and Administrative staff, ensuring performance standards and training requirements are met.

·         Manage operational workflows for incoming and outgoing inmate mail, packages, and legal correspondence.

·         Coordinate with security teams to ensure all contraband prevention protocols are followed.

·         Oversee reporting and documentation requirements, ensuring audit readiness.

·         Maintain strong communication with facility leadership and external vendors/service providers.

·         Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, security, and service quality within mail operations.

·         Ensure all staff adhere to confidentiality, chain-of-custody, and inmate rights requirements.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

·         3+ years of supervisory or management experience in corrections mail operations

·         Strong knowledge of correctional regulations and mail security procedures.

·         Proven leadership and organizational skills.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Pay: $ 35

Must be open to any of the following 12-hour shifts:

  • Day Shift

Ability to Commute:

  • Baker County, Florida

Ability to Relocate:

  • North Florida: Relocate before starting work and for the duration of the 5-week rotation (Required)
