    Summary:

    The Mailroom Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all correspondence and deliveries are processed efficiently, maintaining the flow of communication within the company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Sort and distribute incoming mail to appropriate departments and personnel ensuring direct delivery. 25%
    • Handle special mailing requests such as express and certified mail. 
    • Collect outgoing mail and ensure it is properly processed and dispatched. 10%
    • Receive and log all incoming packages. 
    • Ensure prompt delivery of packages to the intended recipients. 
    • Maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments. 
    • Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments. 
    • Assist with office supply inventory and distribution. 
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the mail room. 
    • Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed. 
    • When required, obtain signature/receipt for critical items. 
    • Performs other duties as required

    Education Skills Experience:

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a mail room, shipping/receiving, or similar role preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. 
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
    • Ability to lift and move packages up to 20 pounds.
    • Standing and walking for extended periods.

    Other Information:

     

    • This job operates in a professional office environment. The role may require the handling of heavy packages and occasional overtime during peak periods.

    Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
