Now hiring for a Magnetic Particle Technician

Location: Russellville, AR

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM-3:00 PM

Overtime: Some Fridays as needed

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must pass a vision test, including near vision and color contrast evaluation

Experience Requirements

  • Non-entry-level position
  • Prior NDT experience required
  • Must be qualified to set up equipment, interpret inspection results, and train Level I technicians
  • Experience performing Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, and related inspection standards preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

Job Duties

  • Set up and calibrate magnetic particle inspection equipment, including yokes, coils, and benches
  • Perform wet fluorescent magnetic particle inspections on ferromagnetic materials
  • Evaluate inspection results and determine product acceptance or rejection
  • Interpret discontinuities according to applicable codes and customer specifications
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate daily records
  • Train and mentor Level I technicians in setup, testing, and documentation procedures
  • Move materials and pallets as needed (forklift training provided)
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper operation
  • Follow all PPE, safety, and chemical handling requirements
  • Support company quality and continuous improvement initiatives

Physical Capabilities

  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to climb, crawl, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment as needed
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded visual information and interpret detailed inspection data
  • Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
