Machine Operator
Location: Roanoke, VA
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join the production team. Candidates will be responsible for operating and monitoring various manufacturing equipment, including saws, press brakes, and other production machinery, to ensure quality products are produced safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machines and equipment.
Operate saws, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery according to production specifications.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform routine machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting.
Load and unload materials from machines safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Communicate production issues and equipment concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications
Previous machine operating experience preferred.
Experience operating saws, press brakes, or fabrication equipment is a plus.
Ability to read measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions preferred.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
