Machinist

Summary:

• Location: The Woodlands, TX
• Duration: 6 Months
• Shift: 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday - Friday (OT on weekends as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC machine programs as needed.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality personnel, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals.

Requirements:

• Technical training, vocational certification, or apprenticeship in machining.
• Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC programming and machine setup.
• Proficiency using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Safety boots and prescription safety glasses are required.
