Our manufacturing/industrial client in the Punxsutawney, PA area is seeking machinists on first and second shift.
-Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of materials
-Set up, operate, and maintain machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce parts to specification
-Calculate dimensions and tolerances and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
-Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine machining methods and sequences
-Monitor machine performance and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to ensure quality and efficiency
-Program and troubleshoot CNC and other automated equipment, diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues
-Perform layout, fitting, assembly, and finishing (including deburring) of metal components
-Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes, support new tooling or equipment, and ensure product quality
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and ERP systems
-Technical aptitude, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and specialized information
-Commitment to safety, with the ability to recognize and address potential hazards
