Hiring Opportunity: McConnelsville Ohio
Our client is looking to hire a machinist for their team in McConnelsville, Ohio! Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing high-precision, high-strength components for a wide range of industries.
The machinist is responsible for the accurate machining, repair, and maintenance of production and support tooling within the Tool Room.
Qualified candidates would need experience with machining, CAM programming, geometric dimensioning and tolerance, and machine operation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately machine production tooling and support tooling.
- Create efficient machining programs using CAM software (MasterCam, WorkNC).
- Cut tool steel in the heat-treated state (approx. 58 HRC).
- Run multiple machines simultaneously to ensure production efficiency.
- Operate all equipment in the tool shop for manufacturing and repair of tooling.
- Produce tooling on schedule while accommodating changing operational priorities.
- Perform accurate measurements using the metric system and metric measuring tools.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed on tooling.
- Track internal rework using SAP rework forms and confirm operations in SAP.
- Compile accurate setup documentation as required.
- Support production and the tool shop in all tooling-related activities.
- Maintain inventory of required supplies and request replenishment when needed.
- Ensure tooling is repaired and maintained to support continuous production.
- Assist in troubleshooting tooling-related issues impacting production.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area following 5S principles.
- Motivate others to report unsafe conditions and model safe working behavior.
- Follow all safety, health, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Identify risks and follow established safety instructions.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Strong machining skills, including ability to cut hardened tool steel.
- Proficiency with CAM programming (MasterCam, WorkNC preferred).
- Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to operate all major equipment within the tool shop.
- Ability to measure precisely using metric tools and methods.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.S
