DEPARTMENT: MACHINE SHOP

REPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR, MACHINE SHOP

LOCATION: PITTSBURG, TX

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

ANDRITZ SEPARATION USA operates in a niche market that provides overhaul and rehabilitation to equipment for separating solids and liquids. The work encompasses a wide range of repair, replacement, and improvement services to restore dependability and sustainability to wastewater treatment and chemical facilities, or to increase capacity and/or efficiency. Projects range in size and scope, but routinely span from component assessment, design, and procurement to site installation and commissioning.

PRINCIPLES DUTIES:

• Major responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following duties
• Machinist must have knowledge of, and be able to competently and safely operate manual and CNC lathes, set up and dial in parts with minimal instruction
• Use manual and power tools, overhead cranes and forklifts, and other machine tools as assigned.
• Use metal cutting tooling.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments as assigned.
• Read drawings and make sketches.
• Interact with and clearly communicate with co-workers in a team-like atmosphere.
• Stand on your feet at least 8 hr per day.
• Dead lift at least 50 lbs occasionally
• Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
• Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years of Machinist / Millwright experience in a constructions or manufacturing environment.
• 2 years apprenticeship and/or Associates degree.
• 2 years of experience working with motorized equipment and various array of manual and electrical hand tools.
