Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Machinist Lead to join a growing manufacturing team in Owasso. This first-shift leadership position combines hands-on machining expertise with production coordination, administrative responsibilities, and team leadership. The successful candidate will spend time both on the shop floor and in the office, supporting daily operations while driving quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills
Previous machining experience required
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent computer, data entry, and documentation skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate with production, management, and cross-functional teams
Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to safety and quality
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and support daily machining operations to meet production goals
Assist with production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for reporting, tracking, and documentation
Communicate production priorities and operational updates with team members and management
Monitor production quality, productivity, and process efficiency
Troubleshoot machining and production issues using sound technical judgment
Maintain accurate production records and operational documentation
Support employee training, coaching, and skill development
Promote workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist management with special projects and operational improvements as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous CNC machining or precision manufacturing experience
Experience leading machining teams in a production environment
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
Experience with production scheduling and workflow management
Leadership potential with a desire to advance into management roles
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in both shop and office environments
Ability to safely operate or work around machining equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable moving between production floor responsibilities and administrative tasks throughout the day
