Position is for Weekend PM, Fri- Sun, 3 PM- 3 AM
Must be able to train on 1st and 2nd shifts for 4-8 weeks
Purpose Statement
Responsibilities include planning assignments, laying out, setting up, operating, and making tool adjustments for a variety of conventional or automatic machines. Works from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include cutting and shaping metal to precise dimensions. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities
" Reviews job packages by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches,s or drawings to identify design impracticalities and begin to formulate a production process.
" Clarifies design feasibility issues with engineers to ensure parts are machined to meet specifications.
" Determines sequence of operation, number and type of cuts required, and method of set-up.
" Prepares parts for machining, programs computer and milling machines, and operates a variety of manual and automatic machines.
" Monitors parts through production by visual observation and referencing blueprints to ensure products meet specifications.
" Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines.
" Repairs malfunctioning shop equipment and machines.
