Shift:AM Shift (Hours to be determined)Position Summary:The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience with precision measuring instruments, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a safe manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructionsMeasure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicatorsPerform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes to ensure quality and production efficiencyMonitor machine operations and troubleshoot machining issues as neededMaintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and required documentationPerform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic servicing of machines and equipmentEnsure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing proceduresCollaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and productivityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentJob Requirements:Previous experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specificationsProficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicatorsStrong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and quality inspection proceduresExperience performing machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenanceExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
