Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM is seeking Machinists. In this role you will set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. This position requires considerable attention to detail to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards. Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentagesAble to follow simple instructions or directionsAble to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completionAbility to meet deadlines.
Your Challenge:
Primary duty to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Must have two years of experience in a production/shop position.
