We are seeking an experienced Machinist for 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) to set up and operate various machines in a machine production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines. Read and interpret blueprints, part prints, and work orders.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, clamps, and workpieces.
- Adjust machine speeds, feeds, RPMs, and other controls. Run parts and inspect using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Prove out setups and maintain part quality and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and replace worn tooling.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines.
- Complete production and inventory documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-focused and detail-oriented.
Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, and/or applied trade school education.
- Advanced shop math skills.
- Experience working with tight tolerances.
- Hazardous materials and safety training provided (OSHA / DOT / EPA compliant).
