Machining Supervisor Trainee - Swing Shift

Lynden Door – 2077 Main Street, Lynden, WA 98264

Hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and grow into a leadership role? Lynden Door is looking for a Machining Supervisor Trainee to join our Machining Department. This position is designed for an experienced team member who wants to transition from a strong technical contributor into an effective people leader.

As a Machining Supervisor Trainee, you'll continue building your machining knowledge while developing the leadership skills needed to supervise a team. You'll learn how to schedule production, coach employees, conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, and partner with leadership to create a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Machining Supervisor Trainee, you will:

  • Learn to schedule daily production workloads and execute the production plan
  • Coordinate production activities with the opposite shift to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate production updates and priorities through daily shift handoffs and email
  • Maintain and update the department's production schedule
  • Distribute production paperwork to machining centers
  • Learn payroll, timecard, and attendance processes
  • Develop the skills to coach team members and conduct performance reviews
  • Assist with training and retraining employees using SOPs and TWI methods
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and identify appropriate resources when needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department
  • Promote safe work practices while following all quality, safety, and LOTO procedure

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of machining operations and production processes
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and production software
  • Experience with Editor software is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, or mentor others is a plus
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures, quality standards, and LOTO practices

  • Compensation & Benefits:
    - Wage: $25.00 - $28.00 (based on experience) (Includes $1.75 Swing Shift Premium)

    - 8 Paid Holidays (eligible after 90 days)
