Machine Repair Technician
Location: Novi, MI (Onsite)
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract (Ongoing with Opportunity for Extension)
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.50/hour
Schedule: M-F (1st shift)
Position Overview
HRU Technical Resources is seeking a Machine Repair Technician for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading manufacturer in the Novi, MI area. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a variety of industrial machinery and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment while supporting preventative maintenance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial machinery and machine tools.
- Diagnose equipment issues and safely disassemble damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Repair or replace worn and damaged mechanical components and reassemble equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on CNC machines, manual equipment, and other production machinery.
- Complete preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and mobile equipment.
- Assist maintenance team members with equipment repairs and maintenance projects.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including light electrical, plumbing, concrete, and other building repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience performing industrial machine maintenance or machine repair in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
- Relevant machine maintenance or repair experience must be clearly reflected in your work history on your resume.
Preferred
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience is a plus.
