Position Overview
We are seeking dependable Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Joplin. This position is responsible for operating production band saws, flat lasers, or tube lasers based on experience and business needs while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing experience, can accurately read measurements, and is comfortable working with industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to accurately read a tape measure (required)
Previous forklift and overhead crane experience required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work weekend shifts after completing training
Digital caliper experience preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate production band saws, flat laser machines, or tube laser equipment based on assignment
Read and interpret work instructions and production requirements
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished products
Measure materials accurately using tape measures and precision measuring tools
Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
Assist with additional production duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating production band saws, flat lasers, or tube lasers
Experience using digital calipers and other precision measuring instruments
Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and material handling equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and heavy materials
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing facility
Fast-paced production environment focused on quality and safety
Exposure to machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, metal materials, and industrial noise
Weekend schedule following completion of weekday training
