Sets up and operates a variety of woodworking machines to surface, cut, and shape lumber and fabricate parts for wood products.
Sharpens machine cutting heads and tools as needed.
Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Understanding of different wood types and their properties.
Proficiency with a range of woodworking machines and hand tools.
Strong measuring, math, and accuracy skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to stand, bend, squat, and walk for 8-10 hours per day.
Lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
Regular exposure to a production and woodworking environment.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in
designated areas at all times.Team-oriented and dependable.
Organized, accurate, and efficient.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Action-oriented and proactive in problem solving.
Plant-required New Hire Safety Training.
Product and job-specific training as needed.
