What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:- Observe machine operations to identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as needed
- Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces
- Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machining equipment
- Calculate and set machining controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut
- Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify machine settings or programmed control data
- Work with engineers, production personnel, programmers, and others to resolve machining or assembly problems
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role:- At least 6 months of CNC machine operator experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; a 2-year machining degree is preferred
- Familiarity with CMM, GD&T, and SPC
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers to verify specifications
- Written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
