Job Summary
Operate and maintain rolling machines, seam welders, and cut-off machines to form and weld metal materials. Responsible for moving materials between machines and ensuring production meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate rolling machines, seam welders, and cut-off equipment
- Load and move materials between machines
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Read blueprints, work orders, and specifications
- Adjust machine settings to maintain proper tolerances
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges
- Perform basic machine maintenance and tool changes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience operating manufacturing or welding machinery
- Basic math skills (decimals and fractions)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment
- Indoor manufacturing setting
- Standing, repetitive motion, and material handling required
- Use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots
