Position Overview:

 

The person in this position will tend machines that perform one or more production or packaging functions. This may consist of box building, sleeving, box closer, or shrink wrapping while performing other duties.

                                                        

Accountabilities:

1. Safety 1^st. Follows all workplace safety rules.
2. Starts machine and observes operation to detect any malfunctions.
3. Must prioritize food quality and maintain food safety, through the vigilant application of company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
4. Ensure all connections to machines are correct.
5. Utilize all required PPE for the assigned job.
6. Verify the surfaces of the machines of the machines and components are sanitary and in good working condition.
7. Confirm product specification is met prior to machine operation.
8. Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
9. Replenish packaging materials to machines as needed.
10. Document required verifications of product during the process.
11. Communicate problems or issues to production leadership to address concerns of product waste, quality or employee safety.
12. Work in a fast paced environment on a production line.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

Education Level:

• High School diploma or GED 

Experience: 

• Prior manufacturing/production experience preferred but not required.
