Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Machine Operators to join a fast-paced plastic manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic molding equipment used to manufacture foodservice and janitorial products.

Machine Operators will monitor production, inspect molded products, load materials, trim and assemble components, package finished products, and help ensure production goals are achieved without sacrificing quality or safety.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working extended production shifts. Previous manufacturing or machine-operation experience is preferred.

Required Experience & Skills

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous manufacturing, production, machine-operation, or plastic molding experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate or learn plastic molding equipment
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to perform repetitive production activities throughout extended shifts
• Ability to follow established production and safety procedures
• Must be able to speak and understand English fluently
• Verifiable work history required
• Reliable transportation required
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Must be able to pass required pre-employment drug screening

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate plastic molding machinery according to production requirements
• Monitor equipment throughout production runs
• Load raw materials into production equipment
• Remove completed products from machines and production lines
• Inspect molded products for defects
• Trim excess material from finished components when required
• Assemble products according to specifications
• Package completed products
• Palletize finished products for storage or shipment
• Perform routine quality checks throughout production
• Document applicable production information accurately
• Identify and report machine malfunctions
• Report material shortages to appropriate personnel
• Identify and communicate quality concerns
• Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality requirements
• Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized
• Follow all company safety and production procedures
• Perform additional manufacturing duties as assigned

Machine Operation Responsibilities

Candidates may regularly perform:

• Plastic molding machine operation
• Equipment monitoring
• Raw material loading
• Finished-product removal
• Production-line support
• Basic machine troubleshooting and issue identification
• Production documentation
• Quality monitoring

Candidates are expected to recognize unusual machine conditions and report problems promptly rather than allowing defects or production issues to continue.

Product Finishing & Packaging

Depending on production requirements, Machine Operators may:

• Trim molded products
• Remove excess material
• Assemble components
• Inspect finished products
• Package completed products
• Prepare cartons for shipment
• Palletize packaged products
• Maintain organized finished-goods areas

Quality Responsibilities

• Inspect molded products for visible defects
• Verify products meet applicable quality requirements
• Perform routine production quality checks
• Identify damaged or incorrectly manufactured products
• Separate nonconforming products when required
• Document production and quality information accurately
• Report recurring quality concerns promptly
• Maintain strong attention to detail during repetitive production runs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operator experience
• Plastic molding experience
• Injection or similar molding experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Production-line experience
• Assembly experience
• Packaging and palletizing experience
• Quality inspection experience
• Previous experience working extended manufacturing shifts

Screening & Employment Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must speak and understand English fluently
• Verifiable work history required
• Pre-employment drug test required
• Reliable transportation required
• Dependable attendance required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout extended shifts
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and upper-body movements
• Manual dexterity required for product handling, trimming, assembly, and packaging
• Comfortable performing physically active production work throughout 12+ hour shifts
• Ability to safely work around plastic molding machinery and production equipment
• Ability to wear all required PPE

Work Environment
