Job Description:
- The Machine Operator works in a team environment to set-up and operate a production line to meet customer specifications, with the responsibility of all aspects including quality, waste, and efficiency of the machine.
- This position reports to the Production Supervisor but can also take direction from the Team Leader assigned to the area.
Responsibilities: - Set up/Adjust machine components based upon customer orders/work order specs.
- Run machine to produce product to fulfil customer order.
- Observe machine operation, gauges, meters and controls to ensure safety, quality and uniformity.
- Monitor the production and provide quick timely response to any equipment malfunctions.
- Periodically check product ensure quality by using measuring tape, machine caliper and gauges.
- Completes appropriate paperwork and provide accurate information related to waste, down time, machine maintenance and efficiency.
- Identify and record any problems relating to products and processes.
- Keep the work area clean using 6S process.
- Other duties as required
Requirements: - 6 - 12 months related experience. Experience with small hand tools and simple machine controls.
Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
