Brick Machine Operator (Direct Hire) – Day Shift
Location: Madison, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire (No Temp Assignment)

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Brick Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Madison, North Carolina. This is a direct hire opportunity offering steady, full-time employment on a 12-hour day shift using a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

The Brick Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment, ensuring proper setup, monitoring brick quality, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor brick extrusion machinery and equipment
  • Ensure proper equipment setup and adjustments for production runs
  • Monitor green brick size, coatings, and additives to meet quality standards
  • Accurately measure brick dimensions and maintain consistency
  • Record and track daily production and quality data
  • Maintain optimal production output levels
  • Assist with machine part replacement and maintenance procedures
  • Keep work area clean and follow all housekeeping standards
  • Support other departments as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, including equipment and crane operation
Requirements
  • Ability to learn safe operation of extrusion and manufacturing equipment
  • Experience reading and interpreting mix sheets and machine settings
  • Ability to operate a forklift (license required)
  • Willingness to learn overhead crane operation
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable team player with strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
  • Previous experience as a machine operator, extrusion operator, or manufacturing technician
  • Background in brick, construction materials, or industrial production
Work Schedule
  • 12-hour Day Shift
  • 2-2-3 rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on)
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs
