MACHINE OPERATOR

Start your new career as a Press Operator with MAU at Schattdecor in Lexington, SC. As a Press Operator, you will support press operations by assisting with printing and lacquering processes to ensure production runs efficiently and safely. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of related experience preferred
• Knowledge of printing processes preferred
• Basic math skills, including fractions
• Basic computer skills (BDE/SAP experience preferred)
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift 26\u201350 lbs. and meet physical job requirements

What You'll Do as a Print Operator:

• Package finished products at the rewinder station
• Splice new base paper rolls at the unwinder station
• Remove roll headers and unwrap base paper rolls
• Clean equipment using solvents
• Swap pans, splash guards, and doctor blades in the lacquering machine
• Change coating units and rollers in the lacquering machine
• Enter finished product data into BDE/SAP systems
• Measure and add pigments according to specifications
• Operate a forklift to transport rolls and coating totes
• Assist with lacquering operations and equipment cleaning
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow recycling procedures and empty dumpsters as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
