Description

Job Title: Machine Operator - Kraft- New Berry SC

Duration: 02 Months

Pay Rate: $20.70

Shift Timing: Days and shifts may vary. First shift can start as early as 4:00 am; second shift as early as 2:00 pm; and third shift as early as 9:00 pm.

 

Summary:

  • Job Purpose Instructions: In two to three sentences, provide a concise summary of “why the job exists” including the purpose, level, scope of responsibility, what success looks like, and how the role fits in the KHC mission and goals.
  • Employee must possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Employee shall be encouraged to learn how to perform centerlines on equipment and perform Sanitation Operations. 
  • Specific training shall include Sanitation 7 Steps, LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures, equipment set up and tear down, safe Chemical Usage handling, Drain cleaning and Pre-Op inspections. 
  • There will be 100% engagement required which will include completing defect handling cards legibly, understanding daily problem handling process, and updating performance boards hourly.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to speak, read and write English to understand process instructions. Requires planning and management skills. Will require ability to balance different tasks to ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Responsible for their own safety as well as others.
  • Employee is required to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).
  • Employee shall be encouraged to learn and perform all other jobs related to this specific job assignment. Employee shall also be expected to learn one other job.
  • Employee shall not operate equipment unless properly trained and approved by a leader or supervisor. Employee must be willing and able to lift up to fifty pounds.
  • Must become knowledgeable of KHMS to complete all KHMS and operational forms legibly.
  • Perform CIL and understand 5S process.
  • Must report out Top losses, quality, and safety issues from previous shift and current shift in the Level 1 meeting.
  • Report out the win for that day in Level 1 meeting.
  • Know how to follow escalation process!
  • Conduct proper shift hand for next shift.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot machinery and perform basic mechanical tasks using mechanical tools.
  • This following pertains to Pickle Injector department only:
  • Must be able to follow directions on a Batch sheet and add ingredients to a batch in a timely manner. 
  • Keep up with incoming Raw materials, tickets, and meat temperatures.
  • Manually write tickets for tanks.
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and completing check sheets.

  • Is your background clean from the last 10 years?
