Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Machine Operators to join a growing machine shop in Joplin. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates interested in developing long-term manufacturing and machining skills.
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is preferred, but the company is willing to train dependable candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, consistent attendance, and a desire to learn and grow.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience preferred but not required
Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Dependable attendance and stable work history
Ability to follow instructions and established production procedures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate production and machine shop equipment according to established procedures
Learn proper machine setup, operation, and production processes
Monitor equipment and production throughout the shift
Inspect completed parts and products for quality and accuracy
Report equipment, production, or quality concerns to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements
Assist with additional machine shop and manufacturing duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and remain on your feet throughout the shift
Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive physical activity
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Ability to safely work around machinery and production equipment while wearing required PPE

Machine shop and manufacturing environment
Non-climate-controlled facility
Stable MondayFriday first-shift schedule
