Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a busy industrial production operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, inspecting finished products, completing basic production documentation, and helping ensure daily production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has previous industrial, construction, manufacturing, or general labor experience and is comfortable working an extended production schedule. Candidates should have strong measurement skills and be able to accurately use tape measures, angle finders, and/or micrometers.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous industrial, construction, manufacturing, or general labor experience
• Ability to safely operate or learn production machinery
• Must be proficient reading tape measures, angle finders, and/or micrometers
• Must understand decimal measurements
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Ability to maintain consistent productivity throughout extended shifts
• Strong communication skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Ability to work the full Monday–Saturday schedule
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor equipment throughout production runs
• Maintain consistent production output to meet daily goals
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Verify applicable measurements and specifications
• Identify defective or nonconforming products
• Perform routine equipment checks
• Identify and report machine or equipment problems
• Complete basic production documentation
• Maintain accurate production information as required
• Communicate production concerns to supervisors and team members
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe machine areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality guidelines
• Perform additional machine operation and production duties as assigned

Measurement & Quality Responsibilities

Measurement accuracy is an important part of this position.

Candidates should be proficient with one or more of the following:

• Tape measures
• Angle finders
• Micrometers
• Decimal measurements
• Other basic production measuring equipment

Responsibilities include:

• Measuring products and materials
• Verifying finished products against required specifications
• Identifying dimensional discrepancies
• Maintaining consistent product quality
• Reporting products that do not meet applicable requirements

Machine & Production Responsibilities

Candidates may regularly perform:

• Production machine operation
• Machine monitoring
• Material loading and handling
• Finished-product inspection
• Dimensional verification
• Routine equipment checks
• Basic production documentation
• General production support

Candidates should be comfortable learning equipment procedures and maintaining productivity in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operator experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Industrial production experience
• Construction or heavy general labor experience
• Forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience
• Precision measurement experience
• Micrometer experience
• Angle finder experience
• 10-key experience
• Additional manufacturing education or certification
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Forklift & Crane Experience

Forklift and overhead crane experience are a plus.

Depending on previous experience, training, and authorization, associates may assist with:

• Moving raw materials
• Staging products for production
• Transporting finished materials
• Loading or unloading production areas
• Supporting general material flow throughout the facility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to safely handle production materials
• Manual dexterity required for machine controls and measuring equipment
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout extended shifts
• Ability to work in varying temperatures
• Ability to safely work around production machinery and industrial equipment while wearing required PPE

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and production environment
• Regular work around production machinery, materials, tools, and industrial equipment
• Physically active position involving extended standing and material handling
• Work environment may include varying temperatures
• Extended Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM schedule
• Saturday | 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Schedule may be adjusted according to production requirements
• Strong emphasis on safety, quality, measurement accuracy, productivity, and dependable attendance
