Machine Operator I – Automotive Manufacturing
Location: Florence, KY 41042
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: $21/hour (with increases upon full-time conversion)
Shifts (Rotating Schedule)
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Schedule Pattern: 3-2-2-3 rotation
- Requirement: Every other weekend required
Position Overview
Precision Staffing is seeking Machine Operators for a growing automotive manufacturing facility in Florence, KY. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering strong potential for long-term employment, career growth, and wage increases upon conversion to full-time status.
Selected candidates will support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will receive training on equipment operation and advanced machine functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Safely lift, move, and handle materials and products
- Receive training and certification for forklift operation
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Perform basic math, including English and metric unit conversions
- Use measuring tools and devices accurately
- Understand and operate machine computer systems
- Be trained on CNC and PLC controls, as well as SPC documentation
- Load materials, perform machine changeovers, adjust production settings, and complete tooling changes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Strong commitment to safety and reliable attendance
- Must successfully pass a seven-year background check
- Must pass a 9-panel drug screening
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for up to 12 hours per shift
- Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
