Machine Operator

Overall Purpose: The Machine Operator will set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines, automatic and manual drill presses, vapor hone, and punch presses

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machines within the 2nd Operation area
• Perform First Article Inspections
• Inspect parts
• Complete daily paperwork
• Solve shop math related problems
• Make proper selection of cutting tools, speeds and feeds
• Properly complete dimensional inspection reports
• Properly operate various machines within the department
• Read blue prints 
• Perform in-process inspection
• Follow safe work practices
• Clean work areas
• Follow both verbal and written instructions
• Crosstrain in other areas as needed
• Adhere to 5S Standards
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety
