    Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant 3rd Shift

    Location: Springfield, MO 65808
    Division: Corrugated Corrugated Container
    Pay Rate: $21.03 per hour on w2
    Shift: 8 hrs. (2nd shift is 3pm to 11pm)
    Contract Duration: 6 months + ((Potential for Full-Time Employment))

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator Assistant to join our manufacturing team in Springfield, MO.
    • As a Machine Operator Assistant, you will play an important role in our full-line manufacturing operation. Depending on your experience and training, you may support different positions throughout the facility while helping maintain productivity, product quality, and customer commitments.
    • This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension and potential transition to a full-time position based on performance, attendance, business needs, and available openings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
    • Monitor production quality to ensure products meet specifications and company standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting using hand tools.
    • Accurately document production information, downtime, and maintenance activities using computer systems.
    • Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to identify and resolve production issues.
    • Follow work instructions, processes, and safety procedures carefully.
    • Maintain strong attention to detail while supporting production goals and on-time delivery.
    • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Support other production positions as assigned based on training and operational needs.

    What You Need to Succeed

    Must-Haves

    • Good attendance and dependable work history.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to follow processes and work instructions.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • 2 3 years of consistent work experience preferred.
    • Ability to work in a 2-shift manufacturing environment and work overtime as needed.
    • Ability to work up to 4 hours of overtime before or after a scheduled shift, including daily and/or weekend overtime, when required.
    • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions during the summer and fall.
    • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic manufacturing-related math.
    • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
    • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to navigate stairs and stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous full-line manufacturing experience is preferred.
    • Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is a plus.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is helpful.
    • Site Tour & Safety Requirements
    • SITE TOURS ARE REQUIRED.
    • Candidates attending a site tour must wear:
    • Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes
    • Safety shoes are required for the site tour
