Machine Operator

MOVE FORWARD WITH VOLTVolt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in Ashland VAAs a Machine Operator you will Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders single sticks or bundles and maintain organized work supplies. Follow safety precautions for fabricating cutting assembling stacking and shipping pipe. Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication. Measure record and add random pipe lengths accurately. Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.This is a full-time contract opportunity.The ideal candidate will have Experience of machinery such as pipe threaders band saws roll groove machines plasma cutting automatic welding machines and pneumatic banders. Using and understanding tape measures and gauges for quality checks. Experience in mechanical background. Knowledge of computer skills for automated machinery. Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication. Experience in auto mechanics machinery maintenance automotive lines diesel or farm equipment.
