Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Commerce
Pay Rate: $18.80 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient, Plastics Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining plastic molding or extrusion machines to produce quality plastic products that meet company specifications and production goals. The operator ensures workplace safety, quality standards, and efficient machine performance throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic molding, extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or thermoforming equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up machines according to production requirements and product specifications.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Measure and record production data, including output, scrap, and downtime.
- Load raw materials into machines and maintain adequate material supply.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Assist with mold changes, machine setups, and preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or plastics production experience preferred.
- Experience operating injection molding, extrusion, or other plastic processing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
