    Machine Operator Alliance Printing - Dalton, GA Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:30am

    Alliance Printing is seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator to join our team in Dalton, GA. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic, looking to contribute to a high-quality manufacturing operation. You'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting the Emmeci machine used in the production of turned-edge binders and boards. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality are essential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate the Emmeci machine to produce turned-edge binders and boards.
    • Select and install the proper tools and fixtures for each production run.
    • Align and secure workpieces and feeding devices for accurate and efficient production.
    • Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain product quality.
    • Use measuring instruments such as gauges and calipers to ensure specifications are met.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
    • Perform regular calibration and machine control adjustments (speed, temperature, pressure).
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machine operations.
    • Experience using precision measuring tools.
    • Ability to interpret and meet production specifications and quality standards.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

    Supervision Received: Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.

    Physical Requirements:

    Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs. Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs. Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs. Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time. Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
