We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for our 1st Shift to join our team and perform various finishing processes on plastic cards and sheets using specialized machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and monitor quality and performance.
- Adjust machines using hand tools to maintain product quality and speed.
- Complete paperwork and data entry according to ISO or department procedures.
- Review job specifications and communicate relevant issues to the team.
- Perform routine operator maintenance and assist other operators as needed.
- Engage with the production supervision system to reflect machine status changes.
- Support the plant-wide 5S continuous improvement program.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend, speak, write, and read English.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and calipers.
- Ability to interpret and work from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Effective communication and courteous interaction with coworkers.
Preferences
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating production machinery.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and ability to distinguish colors across the full spectrum.
- Safety shoes required; additional personal protective equipment may be necessary.
