What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:- Check raw materials for quality and quantity prior to loading into machine/equipment.
- Validate material is correct prior to setup/load; ensure material matches work instruction; reference manual and/or automated machine per plant documentation.
- Follow production instructions and/or supervisor direction to meet quality standards.
- Set up, start, operate, monitor, and stop machines and/or equipment to produce and/or modify parts and/or products as assigned.
- Ensure machines work at full capacity, are stocked with required materials, and are well-maintained.
- Perform periodic checks on machining output.
- Report minor issues/malfunctions and assist with corrections to maximize machine/equipment function and performance in alignment with safety and operating procedures.
- Follow verbal and written instructions including diagrams and/or models, and batch records.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning; regularly inspect machining operations and output. May assist with prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as directed.
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator:- High school diploma or GED; or one month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three months’ related manufacturing assembly and machine operating experience.
- Experience using, cleaning, and maintaining precision fabricating machines and/or equipment.
- Experience fabricating electronic, medical device, aerospace, or similar high-tech components.
- Experience working with, writing, and/or maintaining production fabrication documentation.
- Experience reading, understanding, and accurately following written operating instructions.
- Experience listening and following oral operating instructions.
- Experience performing assembly tasks in a production environment.
- Experience using electronic devices and computing systems.
