Looking for a hands-on manufacturing role with steady work and growth opportunities? Join Duraco Specialty Materials in Forest Park, IL as a Machine Operator AB and play a key role in producing high-quality specialty materials that serve customers across a variety of industries. Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
What You''ll Do
Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of production equipment after training
Run equipment such as slitters, laminators, coaters, presses, compactors, and material handling equipment
Monitor production quality using measuring devices and job specifications
Calculate production rates, yields, and quantities
Troubleshoot production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors
Use computer systems for data collection, label generation, and production information
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Participate in safety initiatives, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts
What We''re Looking For
Mechanical aptitude and a strong hands-on work ethic
Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools accurately
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements
Comfortable with physical work, including standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and reaching throughout the shift
Team player with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
